CORSAIR Void Wireless v2
For the launch of the iconic CORSAIR headset, Void Wireless v2, I led the creative vision from concept to launch. This global launch marked a major refresh of the headset since the lineup launched in 2016 in the competitive gaming market. I managed the full production cycle to deliver cross-channel assets — website PDP, video, and web banners to paid media.
While many peripheral companies stick to product renderings to introduce their product, my visual direction was to create a natural environment and capture realistic expressions in a dark setting, and mood RGB lighting while letting the product shine. This took two considerations: lighting had to be clear to create an environment but not flood the product with RGB color, and create a space where the talent could be in the "gaming space" and actually experience it. A challenge that came from the Product Marketing Manager was to have the talent smile in the photos and videos. This could come out as overly smiling or stiff. I worked closely with Uriel Espinoza, an experienced gaming photographer and video director. One of our insights was, most talent isn't acting talent and can't just put a face on, therefore, we had talent play games during the shoot. This kept their eyes locked in and focused on the game. Espinoza was also able to direct and create a welcoming environment for talent to capture them "gaming", and enjoying the moment, while staying away from the stereotypical gaming photography.
